O-sensei, founder of Aikido
O-sensei developed modern Aikido based on his training in Daito-ryu Aiki-jujitsu, combined with other martial arts and his personal experiences. He is widely acknowledged as a modern master of the martial arts, and his life and teachings have been chronicled in numerous books.
His efforts to develop a martial art based on unification and the pursuit of piece led to Aikido’s development as a unique, complex, and fascinating system for personal development and defense.
